Our adult offers a great opportunity for singers from grade nine through adult to engage in a diverse range of choral music. Performances take place in December and May, with rehearsals beginning in September and February for the respective concerts. Singers have the option of participating in any concert season.
Repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Broadway, although the emphasis is on masterworks and other traditional choral repertoire. Recent works include Faure's Requeim, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, and Vaughn Williams's Dona Nobis Pacem. No audition is required, although experience in choral singing and an ability to read music is helpful. The chorus is directed by Sean Hackett, who will guide the group through a rich and varied selection of music. |
Our youth chorus welcomes students from grades three through eight, providing a wonderful opportunity for young singers to develop their talents and perform alongside our adult chorus in major concerts and in their own dedicated events throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from September to December and from February to May.
Our repertoire includes a diverse selection of songs from various genres and cultures, arranged to be age-appropriate for our young singers. No audition is required to join—everyone is welcome! The youth chorus is under the direction of Gabrielle Quandel Umholtz, who has taken the helm as of February 2024. |
